Hello Friends,(and if you’re a football fan) and Happy Superbowl Sunday to you! Today’s post is a review on the St. Ive’s Energizing Coconut & Coffee Facial Scrub. If you’re in the market for a new exfoliating face wash, then I highly suggest trying this product. Retailing at only $3.59, you can purchase this, and other St. Ive’s products at Target, Walmart, and most retail locations. If you’ve seen/used this facial scrub before, you’ll notice that its packaging has been given a makeover. To my knowledge, no changes where made to the original formula.

Besides the usual information on the back of this standing tube, you’ll see a decent size exfoliation chart. On this particular scale ranging from gentle to deep, the St. Ives Energizing Coconut & Coffee Scrub factors in as deep (highest level). So, if you are looking to anhialate blackheads and dead skin cells, than this is one facial scrub I’d encourage you to try.

Immediately after expressing some of the product onto my hand, my senses where greeted with the rich, invigorating smell of coffee married with the sweet scent of creamy coconut. Not only is this product delicious smelling but, it’s actually good for your skin since it contains natural ingredients such as walnut shell powder, corn kernel meal, coconut fruit extract and caffeine (which has been used in skin care for its ability as a natural constrictor and is known as a powerful ally in the war against cellulite). Feel free to consider this exfoliating face wash your new morning wake up call!

This exfoliating face wash is as gentle as it is powerful. You can use it in both your daily morning and evening skincare routine. I personally like using this in the evening because it efficiently removes any left over foundation missed by my makeup remover wipes. Those who require a less thorough exfoliation may choose to use only 1x daily or as little as 3x during the week. If you have very sensitive skin, than you probably won’t be able to use this product. Luckily, St. Ives also has a less abrasive alternative with their Apricot facial scrub.

As part of my usual skin care routine, I use the Ultimate Skin Spa spinning face brush by Vanity Planet. This brush set comes with 3 replaceable heads: an exfoliation brush, a regular brush and a silicone brush. My usual brush head has always been the exfoliating attachment however, I’ve had to switch to the silicone brush head when using this exfoliating wash. I’ve been able to use my exfoliating brush with other exfoliation washes in the past but, not in this case. St. Ives Energizing Coconut & Coffee Scrub needs no assistance in the exfoliation department!

After washing my face I’ll sometimes use a sheet face mask, if not I go straight to moisturizing before priming and finally applying my makeup. Some great sheet face masks to try are the ones by Tony Moly, and YesTo and as far as moisturizing goes two of my personal favorites are The Water Cream by TATCHA and 92% Aloe Vera Soothing Gel by Natures Republic.

In conclusion of today’s review I’m going to recommend trying the St. Ives Energizing Coconut & Coffee Scrub. Inexpensive yes, but low in quality absolutely not! It’s a product you’re going to love.

If you use the St. Ive’s Energizing Coconut & Coffee Scrub, I’d love to hear your thoughts. If there’s another St. Ives Scrub or Scrub of another brand you just love, I’d love to hear about it and if possible, try it out!

Good luck to your teams & may the best team win! As always, follow me and I’ll follow you 🙂
